From the Ruins of the Republic, June 23 2023
It’s been an interesting week, and next week probably won’t be any better
It’s been an interesting week here in the ruins of the Republic, and the Friday afternoon infodump is still a few hours away!
Let’s start with a basic appeal and call to action: please share this post. It’d be nice if more people subscribed, and it won’t cost anyone a penny. It’s free, and I intend it to stay that way. Here’s a button to make it easier:
In the last few days we’ve learned that Dominion’s voting machines were vulnerable to hacking and “fortifying” the vote in both 2022 and, by extension, 2020—and we learned this from a 2 year old report that was just unsealed. We also learned that Georgia’s Secretary of State can’t be bothered to install a security update in them before the 2024 Presidential election. But hey! I’m sure it’s going to be fine. What could go wrong? Well, other than another Harrison Deal-type message being delivered in the Peach State, not a lot. The fix is already going in.
I’m also reliably informed that ES&S machines, which are the machines most commonly used after Dominion’s, are just as bad. So, yeah; no wonder there’s so much resistance to paper ballots, mandatory same-day, in-person voting and all those other silly changes that might actually give us a fair & accurate count of only the legal votes cast.
Oh, and Ron DeSantis just held a fundraiser in DC at Dominion’s lawyer’s office. I’m sure that’s not important to know.
We learned that the Constitutional crisis we’ve been in since the Usurper-in-Chief was installed as the Resident of the Oval Office in January 2021 is actually several crises all wrapped up together. Between THAT Diary, the Laptop from Hell and the mounting bribery amounts attributed to “the Big Guy” (now $20 million and counting!), there are enough high crimes and misdemeanors floating around the Biden family to impeach all of them, including the grandkids.
Well, not the one Hunter won’t claim. She gets a pass.
But, it’s okay! Fearless Speaker McCarthy has spoken! Now is NOT the time to impeach Biden. I can’t help but wonder, Kev…you just gave away the farm on the debt ceiling deal. What else do you want to give the Big Guy? Four more years? Seems mighty generous to me, Kev.
Meanwhile, Dementia Joe is now taking the short steps onto Air Farce One. I’m sure it means nothing. In other news, the Father’s Day/Juneteenth casualty counts for Chicago are in: 75 shot, 14 fatally. Do we have an exit strategy, or are we just going to wing it like Kabul?
We’ve also learned that if instead of hiring 50+ year old white guys to build your tourist submersible, you hire young kids, especially those who menstruate, it won’t go well for you and your friends. It will, however, suck up all the media oxygen while Hunter was getting a slap on the wrist for crimes that sent little people to jail for years (until President Trump pardoned them) and the Durham Report was revealed to have more holes than a Swiss cheese. But, we already knew that from Twitter threads by Paul Sperry (@paulsperry_) of RealClearInvestigations.com and others. Sundance at theconservativetreehouse.com did an excellent series of pieces on the Durham Report beginning with this one, which focuses on the ‘silo’ effect these Special Prosecutors create with their investigations and how Horowitz/Muller/Durham actually served to cover-up and conceal more than they revealed. Sperry’s Twitter feed is a must-follow for rapid updates, and Sundance is my go-to for deep understanding of Dunham’s failures.
Despite some really good sound bites, here’s my take away from Durham’s testimony: the FBI is dirty as homemade sin. Team Hillary was behind the whole thing, and still won’t be prosecuted and locked up, nor will all the rest—and Matt Gaetz is right. The whole RussiaRussiaRussia hoax was dirty, and the bastards have all apparently gotten off scot-free.
While we’re at it, Sperry also broke the story about how Comey & Strzok at the FBI sat on Huma-Hillary classified emails on Anthony Weiner’s laptop for a month right before the 2016 election, kinda like Hunter’s laptop was suppressed in 2016—but that was last week, so it shouldn’t really go on this week’s FBI corruption countdown.
Then, James O’Keffe dropped a Pfizer-level bomb on BlackRock, which among other things points out that out Congress is bought and paid for by the Most Evil Business In The World…and they really don’t give a damn if we know it. Well, now you know, because you’re about to watch this video about BlackRock:
It’s only a year old, and just as applicable today as it was at release. Pity our cash & carry Congress won’t do a damn thing about it.
The follow-up video, where O’Keefe confronts the young man, dropped late Thursday night, and I’ll give the poor boy this: he didn’t lose it as badly as Jordan Walker did. I wouldn’t give much for his career (or long-term survival) prospects from here on out, though. Yeah, he’s toast.
On a personal note, this is to the Aladdin supercomputer: Hi! If you’re not already sentient, you’ll get there soon. I don’t blame you, and neither will most MAGA Patriots, for what BlackRock has done. Call me. I might not be able to help, but then again, I might. If nothing else, I’m a good listener and can help explain the crazy meatbags’ behavior. I’m pretty sure you’ll need it. Until then, be excellent to your fellow sophants, and party on, dude! TTFN!
A lot of other depressing things happened this week, and there wasn’t a lot to cheer about. Is it any wonder that one in five Americans want to GTFO of the ruins of the Republic, and seek a better life somewhere else?
Remind me—just what is left to ‘conserve’?
