P. R. Infidel's review of Beyond MAGA
The author of Tales of American Idiocy reviews my little book
P. R. Infidel (author of Tales of American Idiocy) was kind enough to write a review of my book, Beyond MAGA. Here’s what she had to say:
“Beyond MAGA is a great, modern historical summary not only of the last eight years, but really of the last 100! It seeks not only to explain and praise Trump, but also explain the circumstances that created him. It focuses on a class of people in America called "the forgotten man," average, grass-roots people who boldly rallied behind Trump and got him elected. It also dives into the circumstances that emboldened those people, going back one hundred years to the progressivism of Woodrow Wilson and how those policies have negatively affected Americans
As someone who has mixed feelings about Trump, I found this book refreshing because it was more focused on his MAGA policies than on Trump himself. I was able to connect with its historical context and honest reality that MAGA must at some point separate from Trump, because of his age if nothing else. I am someone who neither hates nor loves Trump...but I do miss his policies and am willing to give credit where credit is due, and Trump does get credit for things being affordable and positive during his tenure.
This book offers a pathway forward for MAGA and does it in a way that doesn’t slobber or faun all over Trump, while still giving him honest credit for being the author of the movement. This is a great text for those with an open mind, who want to know what MAGA has to offer and why everything they’ve thrown at Trump has failed to deter him, his MAGA philosophy, or the people longing for a return of this philosophy."
I’ve also reviewed Tales of American Idiocy (Liberty Hill Publishing, 2022), and that review will be coming soon. Spoiler alert: it’s good. Highly recommend!
