So, Flag Day happened. And?

It’s hard to be enthusiastic about the flag of a corrupt, collapsing nation

Yesterday was Flag Day, for what it’s worth.

You’ll pardon me if I’m finding it a bit difficult to be enthusiastic about patriotic holidays recently. Given what’s happened these last few weeks, I just don’t see a lot to be happy about.

On Tuesday, a former President was indicted on what most serious legal scholars say are bogus charges. This happened after the current Resident of the Oval Office retroactively removed the now-indicted President’s executive privilege. That the Resident’s Department of Injustice indicted his primary political opponent is disturbing enough. The Left’s spasms of glee at the indictments was beyond disturbing. The focus of the Left’s media accomplices on the indictments while ignoring mounting evidence of the Resident’s long history of criminal activities shows just how far removed from accuracy and fairness they are.

In just the last few weeks we’ve seen copious evidence that the upper levels of our law enforcement and intelligence agencies are hopelessly corrupt. We’ve seen the Republican “leadership” do what they do best—cave to the Dems, throw any sort of budgetary restraint to the winds, and continue to spend the country into ruin. We’ve seen an unprecedented and essentially unimpeded flood of non-citizens across our border, including a suspiciously large number of military-age Chinese who’ve conveniently lost their passports.

Most cringeworthy of all, we’ve heard the White House’s Spoxtoken (she certainly wasn’t chosen for her blinding intelligence or competency) complain that southern governors sending illegals north to Democrat-run sanctuary cities was over-stressing their resources, and just wasn’t fair.

Yes, she said this with a straight face and no apparent realization of just how ironically absurd it sounded.

We continue to pour billions into a proxy war in Asia while our own homeless, many of them Veterans, go without. Indeed, some of them have been displaced from housing in favor of illegals…excuse me, “asylum seekers”…who have come here expecting, and receiving, generous gifts from Uncle Sam.

Meanwhile, the global south can’t seen to ditch the dollar fast enough, and China and Russia are welcoming them with open arms and a soon-to-be-announced oil & rare earth-based coin for monetary trade. Until then, the petroyuan and petroruble seem to be working just fine for them.

This isn’t to say the news is all bad—just mostly bad. Companies that have embraced the hyper-woke “all trans, all the time” agenda are finally being made to feel the displeasure of consumers. More and more evidence of electoral corruption in 2020 and 2022 keeps appearing, so much that some outlets (including YouTube!!!) seem to be positioning themselves to retcon their “most secure election ever” stances soon. Just like with the mask mandates, it’s time and past to grab those screenshots before the internet censors send them down the memory holes!

Best of all, despite everything the Left has thrown at him, Donald J. Trump keeps climbing in the polls and raising money left and right. And those other (alleged) Republicans who’ve announced they’re running against him? Who? Am I supposed to recognize them? Oh, yeah…that one’s a traitor, that one was the National Hot Dog Eating Champion 8 years running or something, that one’s done…erm…okay, you got me. The rest are total nonentities, why are they even wasting all of our time?

Oh, and little Ronnie? If the Bushies and Paul Ryan endorsed me, I’d be ashamed to be seen in public. Just sayin’. Who’s next? Pierre Delecto? Carlos Danger?

I know many patriots did patriotic things yesterday, and good for them if they have the energy for it. As for me, I can’t be sure there’s going to be much of the Republic left to save in January 2025, especially if another election is stolen for Sleepy Joe.
