I don't think the Communists of the USSR ever had intentions of 'taking us over'. They just wanted to destroy us.

I see NYC and Chicago complaining about the influx of migrants and laugh. Around 2005, in B'ham suburbs, the city councils were voting to erect benches along the sidewalk of places like 'GuadalaHoover' so the illegals could have a place to sit while they waited to be picked up for day labor. One time, I drove down that road in a truck pulling a trailer with a pallet of sod, and they ran down the sidewalk waving and trying to get me to hire them. I remember a coworker telling me that a busload of them arrived at a church on Hwy 31 in Pelham every Sunday evening. That was >15 years ago. They were arriving on chartered buses. The 'drug cartels' weren't paying for those buses. My guess is that a consortium of corporations were paying to bring them here. There is a bus normally parked outside of a trailer park off Old Leeds Rd which is right next to a gas station I stop at sometimes on the way home. The bus wasn't there one day, and the owner of the station said he was told the bus went to Mexico to pick up a load of illegals and bring them here. Abbot needs to start sending them to Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Atlanta to have more of an impact politically.

With all of that said about illegal immigrants, I've yet to be convinced that they are having any sort of cultural impact at least not where I live. They didn't come up with critical race theory, preferred pronouns, virtue-signal mask wearing, vaccine mandates, or any of the other insane things being foisted upon us by white liberals from the political donor class. The day we declare war on them is the day we have a chance to save our country.

My sense until the Obama/Biden deluge is that most did indeed come for a better life, and we’re willing to work hard to get it.

Now…not so much. Where are the women & children? Why is it mostly military-aged men? And why are so many “walking” from Africa and Asia?

I have no good answers, just questions.

Imho, the "military-aged men" thing is fear porn. The age for military is the same for workers. If Corporations are behind the funding to bring these foreigners here, then it makes sense they are recruiting military-aged men (as opposed to elderly ones). Women may be less likely to want to come here especially on their own because of all of the stories of women and children being raped on the way here.

Maybe it is like Scarface when we allowed Cuba to send us refugees and they sent us all of the criminals. Except this time, we're "too humane" (too stupid) to store them in a places like Joe Robbie stadium before they can be vetted and let out. I don't know.

I see some women and children in the videos, and we know children have been coming, because I keep seeing stories about companies getting fined for employing child labor in heavy industry (including in Alabama).

There's a very tight labor market now - not enough workers in pretty much every sector of the economy. They seem to flood in whenever that happens. A lot of them were leaving during the Great Recession years. We shot ourselves in the foot in the 2000s when it became common for cities to make it harder for teenagers to work. The fact that we have fewer teenagers than we did 10 years ago doesn't help. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_the_United_States#/media/File:USA_Population_Pyramid.svg
