These leftist, socialist, Marxist, communist and progressive clowns all have common traits: they hate themselves, humanity, freedom and life. For what purpose does anyone want to control another? You gain nothing murdering people, controlling them and subjugating them to slavery. Most of the world just wants to be able to live in peace and prosperity and be left alone.
Most do want to be left alone. That small cadre of power-hungry control freaks ruin it for the rest of us.
As to why? Lots of reasons they develop that way—literal volumes have been written about the consequences of decreed-up early child development—but the sad truth is that once they’re adults, they’re locked in and it’s generally impossible for them to change.
The best solution is to remove them from power—which blue city & state voters seem unwilling to do. So, let them reap what they sow!
