Get Woke, Go Broke—LGBTQ+ Edition
June is Pride month, but can rabidly pro-trans companies survive it?
Let’s start with a few awkward facts:
Target’s market cap just dropped $10 billion in 10 days
Anheuser-Busch stock is cratering
Bud Light is barely selling at $2.99/18 pack, and in some places it’s literally being given away FREE
Miller Lite, North Face, Calvin Klein, Ford and even WalMart are facing consumer backlashes from their LGBTQ+ ad campaigns and merchandise lines
Target has been specifically named for a June boycott
It’s an open secret that these companies are doing this to pump up their ESG rating for the big Wall Street investment funds. So, I have a question for the C-Suites and Boards of these companies: how’s that good ESG rating working for you?
I know Blackrock, Vanguard et. al. really like what you’re doing with the progressive diversity stuff, but your customers seem to hate it. Now that even Mr. ESG himself, Larry Fink, has gotten a tiny bit of clue about just how disastrous ESG is for your brands & bottom lines…what’re you going to do?
Sorry, Bud Light; trying to butch it up with camo cans isn’t going to cut it. Target, axing the Satanist gear was a good start, but what moron thought that would be a good idea in the first place? And are they, and the entire team responsible for that idiocy, still employed? If so, why? Anheuser-Bush, same question—“paid leave” for a team that’s cost your shareholders nearly $20 billion (and climbing!) just doesn’t cut it.
Guess what? You’re all well and truly screwed, because there is no graceful way you can back out of this mess—just ask Bud Light. Multiple gay bars are now boycotting Anheuser-Bush beers because you didn’t defend Dylan’s brand-killing “influence” hard enough to suit them.
Welcome to the Catch-22 of DEI madness. Once you stick that corporate appendage in the meat grinder, there is NO good way to get it out!
Despite what your ESG Masters and ultra-woke Wharton-grad marketing people tell you, most Americans do NOT want supergay ultratrans propaganda shoved in their faces while they’re trying to deal with Biden’s inflation, spiking crime, and all the other “benefits” of the Regime’s last two-plus years of Progressive utopian policies.
Most people aren’t anti-gay, or transphobic, or racist, or WTFever-ist. They ARE concerned about weird “drag queens” doing story hour for kids, or telling confused teens (or younger kids!) to permanently alter their bodies. They’re just trying to survive in this economy, and would like pop a cold one to relax. That’s all. No agenda. No grooming. No threats from the Semiphallic Liberation Army. Just good products at good prices.
If they wanted to see a boy in a dress, they’d watch To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995). Miss Vida Boheme and Miss Noxema Jackson would NOT be amused by all this madness—and neither am I. Nor, it seems, are American consumers.
Enjoy Pride Month, all you woke companies! June’s gonna be a looooooong month!
You express my thoughts better than I can!
Excellent!!!

I think you had to grow up in the 80s or earlier to completely realize how warped the minds of <30 year olds really is. I remember Too Wong Foo. It was a comedy, and very funny - Patrick Swayze dressed as a woman and an older, frumpy Rizzo from Grease bonding over how statuesque Julie Newmar was. I remember when Steven came out to his whole family on Dynasty in the early 80s - that was 40 years ago. One of the most popular bands when I grew up was Duran Duran - they all wore makeup. So did Poison and Motley Crew - hard rock bands with manly men wearing makeup. If there was a massive, conservative backlash back then, I was too young to remember it. Back then, gays and lesbians and even transvestites were accepted and didn't need "allies". Then after a few years of activism, they got the right to marry. That's when things pretty much went off the rails. Glenn Greenwald suggests instead of celebrating their win and going back to their regular lives, they just moved onto the next thing, and that was how the current trans movement came about. I think Glenn is a bit naive.
